What we will help you with

We will take care of all your tour logistics, from accommodation in tried and trusted hotels, transport arrangements for you and your instruments, groups meals, excursions, instrument hire and of course fully-promoted concerts in beautiful and often spectacular venues.

The Czech Republic is a popular destination for millions of tourists every year, who are increasingly drawn not only by the legendary beauty of Prague, but by the charming historic towns and cities and the delightful countryside to be found in the rest of this varied and fascinating country. Visiting choirs, orchestras and bands can choose from an unparallelled array of beautiful and historic concert venues including some of Europe’s most elegant concert halls.

Prague hide show

Prague, City of a Hundred Spires, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Get to know it in person! We offer concert opportunities in spectacular baroque churches, prestigious symphony halls and grand town squares as well as the possibility of singing for services in the soaring Gothic cathedral of St. Vitus.

Central Bohemia hide show

With Prague as a base, it is easy to explore the Central Bohemian region, which boasts the Czech Republic’s most famous castle, Karlštejn, built to house the Czech crown jewels, as well as the UNESCO-listed medieval silver-mining town of Kutná Hora and little spas like Poděbrady and Mšené.  We often take performing groups to explore the charms of smaller towns, where concerts by visiting ensembles in churches or chateaux attract enthusiastic audiences.  Performing in one of the many local festivals is also a great way of getting to know our beautiful country.

Southern Bohemia hide show

This romantic landscape of lakes and rolling hills is famous for its little historic towns dating from medieval times.  Ancient monasteries and elegant chateaux seem to dot the countryside at every turn.  Based in the famous brewing capital of České Budějovice (home to the famous Budweiser beer) you are well placed to explore charming destinations like Třeboň, Tábor or Jindřichův Hradec.  We especially recommend this region to choirs, who will find excellent performance opportunities in the region’s Gothic and Baroque churches, whilst smaller orchestras can play in the historic theatres or more modern houses of culture which are to be found in every community of some size.  And last but definitely not least: the Czech Republic’s second most visited city, Český Krumlov, is a jewel of Renaissance architecture picturesquely nestling in a bend in the River Vltava – once seen, never forgotten.

Western Bohemia hide show

This region is world-famous for elegant spa towns like Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad) and Marianské Lázně (Marienbad).   In the summer months streams of visitors come to „take the waters“ and find healing in nature.  The main spa season runs from May to October and visiting ensembles are much in demand to give concerts for the spa guests, whether on the majestic colonnades, or in local churches and halls.  The capital of the region is the city of Plzeň (Pilsen), famous as the home of Pilsner beer and an important cultural centre in its own right (European City of Culture 2015), with a magnificent concert hall and the tallest cathedral in the Czech Republic.  The range of spacious indoor and outdoor venues make this region an ideal destination for larger instrumental groups from symphony orchestras to concert bands.

Moravia hide show

The eastern half of the Czech Republic is famous for its castles and chateaux, its wine-growing regions, lively folklore traditions and spectacular cave systems, but most of all for the warm hospitality of its inhabitants.  The historic Moravian capital of Olomouc is a good place to start exploring, whilst the Czech Republic’s second city Brno has a lively musical scene and historical associations with Janáček.  We have welcomed many symphony orchestras to the Great Hall of the Palace of the Prince-Archbishops in Kroměříž, which is breathtaking in its splendour.  Moravia can easily be combined with a stay in Prague or in Slovakia.

Slovakia offers the Central European experience in miniature – beautiful cities, stunning landscapes, warm and hospitable people. Come and discover this country and its many and varied concert opportunities! Thanks to its geographical location, it is easy to combine Slovakia with the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary or Poland for a multi-destination concert tour.

Bratislava hide show

The „Princess on the Danube“, just a stone’s throw (well, 60km) from Vienna, boasts a truly charming Old Town, dating back to when it was the coronation city of the Hungarian kings.  You can stay in the heart of the Slovak capital in reasonably-priced hotels and walk to your concert in one of the city-centre churches.  Visiting orchestras may be invited to perform in the Slovak Philharmonic’s youth series, and we also promote a well-supported symphonic series in the acoustically stunning and visually arresting Slovak Radio Hall.  A lively street café culture makes Bratislava a particularly congenial place to spend a few days, especially in summer, which is usually hot and sunny!

Western Slovakia hide show

Slovakia’s two most famous spas are located in this region: Piešťany and Trenčianské Teplice both offer excellent performance opportunities.  Good wine and good food are mainstays of life in this region and there is a thriving folklore tradition.

Central and Eastern Slovakia hide show

The mountainous heart of the country is home to spectacular scenery, but also to picturesque historic cities like Banská Štiavnica, Kremnica or Banská Bystrica.  Another popular destination is the fairytale castle of Bojnice – we are happy to arrange performances in its historic hall for visiting choirs.

Slovakia’s second city Košice is located on the East of the country. It has a long historic tradition with a fine collection of churches and the imposing Cathedral of St. Elizabeth.  It is also home to Slovakia’s other philharmonic orchestra, who perform in a converted synagogue.   The nearby Spiš region features beautiful destinations like Levoča, Kežmarok and Spišská Kapitula, with their grand merchant’s houses, Gothic spires and wooden churches.  The imposing silhouette of the Tatra mountain range provides the backdrop to your tour experiences.

The countries and regions of Central Europe offer so much cultural and scenic variety within a relatively compact area. That means that when touring you can explore different fascinating traditions without the need for long coach journeys. For musicians in particular this is a unique opportunity to discover the region which fostered and inspired such musical greats as Mozart, Haydn, Dvořák, Liszt, Mendelssohn and Chopin. We invite you to walk in their footsteps, sing in their churches, play in their theatres and halls!

Germany hide show

We especially recommend former Eastern Germany, which has a particularly rich musical heritage. Our favourite destinations include Leipzig, Dresden, Eisenach, Halle and Berlin. Perform in the church where Bach was baptised, sing in the choir loft where Handel learned to play the organ, sing for a church service in Bach’s Thomaskirche in Leipzig. Our arrangements are overseen by knowledgeable members of staff and we cooperate with Germany Travel Office to ensure a perfect experence for you.

Hungary hide show

A country with a rich musical heritage (Liszt, Bartók, Kodály), beautiful historic cities, a tradition of hospitality and excellent food.  The capital city of Budapest has much to offer by way of historic sights, whilst popular concert venues for visiting ensembles include the Matthias Church and the Baroque Theatre at the Royal Palace of Gödöllo. Provincial cities like Pécs, Györ and Debrecen are well worth a visit.

Slovenia hide show

This little country takes you from the high Alps to the Adriatic sea in just over an hour’s drive.  There are excellent performance opportunities in the picturesque capital city Ljubljana, including city centre churches, a charming opera house and historic philharmonic hall and a number of outdoor venues. We also like the spas and little historic towns of the interior.

Croatia hide show

Most tourists head for the turqoise waters of the Adriatic, and there are some great performance opportunities in coastal resorts like Poreč and Opatija.  Travel inland to discover Croatia’s secret heartland with its castles and rolling hills.  The capital Zagreb is a stately city with bustling markets and sophisticated audiences.  Varaždin is a baroque jewel of a city with an endearing café culture and plenty of splendid church venues.

North Dakota State University, European Tour

Thank you for all of your help and assistance during the past several months.  It was, I’m sure, a big part of making our tour so successful.  The concert in the Spanish Hall is one that my students and I will talk about for the rest of our lives.  We so appreciate all that you did in making this such an incredible trip to your part of the world.  I hope our paths can cross again in the future.

Director of Bands, North Dakota State University

University of Tennessee at Martin Chamber Players, Concert in Refectory of Emauzy Monastery

Thank you for all of your work for our concert at Emauzy last week!  The space was beautiful and we enjoyed performing there very much.  You made us feel so welcome and special and that means a lot.  The crowd was wonderful and my students and I had a great experience!  Thank you, again!

Rockport High School Chorus, Band & Orchestra, Czech Republic Tour

I want to say a huge thank you for all your wonderful efforts to make our time in Prague so fantastic.

Your organization and choice of choral clinician in Veronika was perfect. All your many many concert details were excellent and you were actually still accommodating for us up to the moment the concert started.

Wow! We’ve been so fortunate to have you.

Director of Choirs, Rockport High School

Turkish National Youth Philharmonic, Czech Republic Tour

The Turkish National Youth Philharmonic and I were delighted with our second collaboration with the Prague Concert Co. Any appearance-but specially the first- in major European centers of musical excellence is a memorable experience for young musicians. The excellent team assured concerts in prestigious halls (including in the Smetana Hall in 2015 and the Rudolfinum in 2017) that were profesionally run and extremely well attended. We were also delighted with the services outside the concert halls, which were higly professional and free of stress, so important to us during busy international tours. Thank you all for making this so special for us.

Conductor, Turkish National Youth Philharmonic

World Civic Orchestra, Prague Tour
